Product & Marketing Intern – South Africa

• Job duties of the interns in Product & Marketing:
• Updating our websites with in-house content management system (www.hideawaysafrica.com, www.jenmansafaris.com, www.travel2madagascar.com) – no html knowledge needed
• Translating monthly e-newsletter
• International mail management & database administration
• Assistance when compiling marketing material in English & German
• Research and writing of web texts
• General correspondence with clients and agents
• General marketing tasks and assistance of marketing department
• Helping to create product descriptions and client itineraries
• Working on upcoming projects
• Involvement in other departments as needed

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
• Ability to communicate and write fluently in professional-level
• A good work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and contribute

• The internship is not a 'salaried' position, but the interns do receive a nominal stipend as pocket money for local transport.
• Interns are responsible for all international travel arrangements, accommodation, and transport whilst in South Africa
• Office hours are from Monday to Friday – 8 to 5, with 1-hour lunch break.
• A contract will be set up between both parties to confirm the internship.

Our interns come from a variety of educational and cultural backgrounds and join us to fulfil the requirements of their university programs.
