Trainee Recruitment Consultant

The Company is currently looking for Trainee Recruitment Consultants in their permanent division. These placement opportunities will be particularly attractive to candidates with an interest in Sales who may be considering a future career in the recruitment industry. This is a professional sales role and is predominantly telephone based. Reporting to the Senior Consultant and working with experienced consultants, tasks and responsibilities include the following

To develop relationships with new clients and selling Engineering & IT recruitment solutions. To acquire vacancies, source suitable applicants and utilize closing skills to secure placements in a competitive market place. In summary, the role involves selling applicants to clients and clients to applicants. (if you are afraid of cold calling, this isn’t for you). The working day will be busy, fast moving and dynamic and will undoubtedly require juggling a variety of tasks at the same time.

Hours of work will 8.30am – 5.30pm, Mon – Fri; you may be required to work longer so you must be flexible. Full training and support will be given

Essential requirements:

• Excellent spoken & written English
• Self-motivation, will to succeed, vast amounts of drive, enthusiasm and self-belief.
• Ability to be persuasive and sell in a consultative manner.
• Confident, professional telephone manner
• Good at building rapport and developing fruitful long-term relationships.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Commercial awareness
• Able to work under pressure, and prioritise your time accordingly

Desirable attributes:

Knowledge of IT and/or Engineering
Successful telephone sales experience (preferable business to business)

Location:

Based in Altrincham, Cheshire, a pleasant and lively market town just 8 miles south west of the city of Manchester. Founded 800 years ago, it was originally an agricultural community. The arrival of canals and railway in the 18th and 19th centuries saw it become a thriving industrial and commercial town. It continues to thrive as it is a desirable area to live for people working in Manchester and the surrounding towns. Easy access by rail and bus to Manchester. It is a truly contemporary metropolis, with modern landmark buildings, a brilliant source of art and culture, great bars and world-class hospitality. Facilities range from fine dining and top-class theatre, to major sporting events and year-round festivals. It's a shopping destination in its own right, rivalling that of the capital, with the added advantage that you don't have to travel far from one store to another. Manchester Airport is less than 2 miles away from Altrincham, and can be accessed by train, taxi or bus. The property rental market in the surrounding areas of Altrincham is affluent and easily affordable.

Remuneration details:

A training allowance of £750 per month will be provided to assist with accommodation and subsistence costs. This remuneration package is not negotiable under ANY circumstances.
