Software Developer / Database Administrator

The successful candidate will be required to maintain the company's existing CRM system written in PHP with a complex MySQL database. Self motivation, development and problem solving skills are essential as you will be the technical expert within the organisation and will be expected to research and solve problems if/when they arise.

You will become highly competent in the design and development of online systems using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) architecture. This will include all aspects of the system including; database design, database normalisation, interface design, server-side programming and client-side programming/mark-up.;

The new division, SMileS, is the new brand name for online Business Mobile Content Solutions – Their extensive knowledge of SMS text marketing techniques, Bulk SMS MMS messaging, Premium Content, or WAP services, coupled with their unique style, enables them to provide their customers with a business edge.

Location:

Based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Huddersfield is a true Yorkshire town, full of surprising qualities, strong traditions, impressive architecture, quality shopping, top class sport, exciting festivals and artistic reputation. Set on the edge of the wonderful scenery of the Peak District National Park and South Pennines, there is plenty to see and do there. The major city of Leeds is just 15 miles away and Manchester is 20 miles approx. There are international airports at Leeds/Bradford and Manchester.

Remuneration details:

A minimum training allowance of £800 per month will be provided to assist with accommodation and subsistence costs. This training allowance is negotiable. If you can demonstrate a high level of competence in the skills required, the company will consider a higher training allowance. For the right candidate, there is also the chance of a permanent position within the company after you have graduated.
