The Company

The college was founded in order to provide vocational training for banking and industrial trainees. The college offers a dual qualification - a British Higher National Diploma in Business and Finance and a German Kaufmann Diploma. The qualification is achieved by a combination of academic learning and on-the-job training, which takes place at the College?s various renowned member companies. In addition, the College runs a wide range of professional development programmes for business people from various European countries. These programmes enable the participants to become familiar with many aspects of the British business environment. They are also designed to provide specific employment information for participant\'s current occupation or future career.

The Student

Marketing, both in the UK and abroad, is central to the College\'s success. Thus, in order to develop new course programmes, an Administration Assistant may be required to collect and analyse background information as well as search for sources of financial support for new courses. Writing press releases and creating promotional material belongs to the sphere of public relations, just as much as liaising with companies who are interested in the College\'s educational programmes. We are looking for someone who fulfils these duties with a great deal of independence. You will have the opportunity to put forward your own ideas. We expect you to be motivated, adaptable, responsible and be able to work on your own initiative. You also have a sound knowledge of computer packages including Word for Windows, Excel and Powerpoint, although there will be plenty of opportunity to learn. Your ability to speak and write English is expected to be sufficient for general communication.
We offer students who stay for six weeks or longer the opportunity to attend a business course in order to obtain the BTEC Professional Development Certificate in Business Administration. At times, there is also the opportunity to participate in excursions organised by the College e.g. Houses of Parliament.
