Business Development Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be involved with a real time project to expand a successful engineering firm and would suit a marketing or business student. Your principal responsibilities and duties will be:

• Help develop a strategy for market entry into France. Once established, develop contacts and channels of communication into market place.
• Develop marketing material and website in French as outlined in Export
• Communications Review.
• Continue search for possible agents
• Establishing Industry Contacts
• Help with identification, person specification and recruitment of a permanent person to take the project forward.

Possible future career opportunities exist for student after their placement.

Essential requirements:

• Fluent English both written and spoken
• Native French
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic understanding of business.
• Numeracy and Literacy to Degree standard
• Good interpersonal skills
• Presentation Skills
• Highly Organised

Desirable attributes:

• Spanish language skills
• Any previous experience in a similar role or environment would be an advantage

Company activity:
This is an established company that has been in existence for nearly 30 years.

The company manufacturer forming set and provides services for the packaging machines.

They make for original equipment manufacturers (OEM)s. and users in food factories both in the UK and worldwide. Their product makes bags from flat reels of film.

Location:
The company is located in Markfield, near Leicester.

Leicester is the largest city and unitary authority area in the East Midlands of England.

Leicester is a busy, cosmopolitan and bohemian centre in the heart of the Midlands, home to around 30,000 students. The large student community gives a special buzz to this lively city which caters particularly well for young people.

Alongside the usual restaurants, cafés, bars, pubs and clubs you would expect to find in a city of its size and calibre, the ethnic diversity of Leicester means there is much more to sample.

Local attractions around Markfield include the National Forest, Twycross Zoo, Conkers, Ashby Canal, Local Railways, Emporium Nightclub in nearby Coalville. Donnington Race Circuit, National Space Centre.

The major cities of Birmingham, Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester are all within 50 minutes drive.

Remuneration details:
A training allowance of £700 a month will be provided to assist with accommodation and subsistence costs.

This remuneration package is not negotiable under ANY circumstances.
