Assistant Graphics Project Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding placement for a Marketing student with an interest or experience in Graphics. Working with the Graphics Project Manager, the assistant will be responsible for co-ordinating Packaging artwork production both internally and externally and will ensure all customer requirements are met. Further responsibilities will include completing all documentation in accordance with customer and company procedures.

The role will include the following tasks:

* Receive customer?s specification/artwork and assess them against manufacturing capabilities.

* Coordinate artwork/proofs both internally and externally through to approval stage.

* Enter specification details onto site MIS system and process batch paperwork.

* Liaise with clients marketing and purchasing departments to confirm, discuss or resolve technical or order requirement issues.

* Assist Graphics Project Manager and Global Business Manager to organise and support export business. This may involve some travelling to Europe

* Other office duties as required

* Hours of work 9.00am ? 5.30pm, Mon ? Fri.

* Fluent English written and spoken

* Fluent French written and spoken

* Desirable attributes:

* Some experience within a marketing or graphics environment would be an advantage.

* Mac/design experience.

* Photoshop/Illustrator software knowledge

* Customer service experience.

The company, founded in 1919, is one of the longest running, independently owned brand building companies in the USA.

Their Corporate Headquarters and Creative Imaging Centre is located in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

They employ over 125 customer service managers, strategists, designers, production artists, graphics application and workflow specialists, programmers, colour scientists and printing experts.

They produce Design, Artwork and Reprographics, and manufacture printing plates for printed packaging.

Location:

Working in their customers manufacturing plant based in Folkestone, Kent (UK).

Folkestone is a medium sized town on the south coast, close to Dover (ferry port) and Ashford (Eurostar) and just over an hour away, by train, from London.

Folkestone has a good night life and has a high foreign student population, with inexpensive accommodation.

Remuneration details:

A training allowance of £700 per month will be provided to assist with accommodation and subsistence costs.

This remuneration package is not negotiable under ANY circumstances.
