The company is a full-service language company offering professional and certified written translations, verbal interpretations, multilingual desktop publishing, audiovisuals, website localization and many other services in more than 100 languages.

We are a small bureau with only 5 managers and 8-12 in-house interns but deal with clients and associates from all over the world. This is truly an international office!

We are very friendly and like to train enthusiastic and eager to learn individuals!

The Intern position is an in-house position in our offices in Santa Monica consisting of a minimum of 250 hours and a minimum of 500 hours if sponsored by a company. It is a part or full-time, unpaid and temporary position that may lead to paid freelance work as a student translator upon completion.

Trainee

The applicant must be someone with full proficiency in English and another foreign language, preferably their native. S/he will have access to all the departments involved in running a successful small business. Apart from translating and editing documents in the languages that the intern is proficient in, s/he will assist the General Manager, the Project Manager, the Marketing Manager, the Office Manager and the Information Systems Manager. Thus s/he will learn about all aspects of a successful translation business such as marketing and advertising, business administration, customer service and more. At the same time, the intern will receive training in completing written translations in his/her proficient languages. At each phase of the program, the applicant will assist with all the duties and responsibilities involved in that particular department. For example, during the Marketing Department phase of the program, the applicant will assist in creating campaign flyers, research advertising agencies online, and so forth. Upon completion of the program, the applicant will have full knowledge and understanding of every department in our office. This is a valuable experience for foreign language lovers.

We are looking for international and domestic students in the fields of linguistics, foreign language minors and majors but all other fields of study are equally considered for the position.
