Praktikum with CNN Germany's newsgathering team

We are a leading global news organisation

Your job is to find, research and set up stories for the CNN team within Germany which are relevent to CNN's international audience.  You will also accompany the team on shoots and follow the editorial process right through to a report's final airing.  During breaking news situations, you will be required to monitor German TV networks, verify facts and assist the team in any way you can. 

We are looking for self-starters who are able to demonstrate some understanding of the news business and who show considerable initiative in finding and developing story ideas.
 
You must be a regular consumer of news with your own views on what makes for good or bad journalism.
 
German and English speakers required.
 
You must be confident and prepared to work in whatever capacity within a very small team.  You must be prepared to make calls on any topic and show persistance in pursuit of a story.
 
You must demonstrate imagination as to how to make news stories visual for television and how to translate that into action.
 
You must have at least some journalistic work experience.
