Sales/Marketing Assistant

• Maintaining, designing and updating e-commerce site using easy-to-use off the shelf software (training will be provided)
• Assisting in the development of new online marketing opportunities
• Editing monthly e-newsletter
• Promoting company offers via email shots and promotional literature
• Processing online and telephone orders
• Customer service
• Telephone reception
• The successful candidate will be working 40 hours a week in an office environment although clerical tasks at the warehouse are included at times
• The company has previously had a number of placement students and now has an established placement programme.

Essential requirements:

• Good written and spoken English

Desirable attributes:

• Photoshop, Dreamweaver
• Interest in e-commerce
• The company uses ‘QuickBooks’ accounting software, so any experience of this or similar software would be useful.

• Company is an online retailer of garden and conservatory furniture
• They have been trading in garden furniture for the last 4 years & with 3 years online.
• Since hardwood garden furniture has risen in popularity theirr reputation has been built on the identified needs for high quality, unique designs, comfort and low maintenance furniture at competitive prices that can be delivered to customers’ gardens within 14 days. They also take great pride in offering specialised one to one sales advice needed for each item.
• The majority of wood imported has come from well-managed forests and independently certified by smartwood in accordance with the rules of the forestry stewardship council (fsc).
• Whilst they specialise in teak, we also supply a wide range of iroko, cumaru, rustic, southern yellow pine, aluminium, cast iron and conservatory furniture. They also provide all outdoor accessories which helps create the right ambience towards the contemporary way of the sought after al fresco living.
• These extras range from patio heaters and bbq's, parasols and hammocks, decking and gazebos, cushions and weather covers to technology advanced hot tubs.
• The successful candidate will be working in a small family company alongside the company director and another placement student.

Location:

• Rowington is a small rural town 10 Miles from Leamington Spa and Stratford Upon Avon.
• Good transport links to Stratford, Coventry, Leamington and Birmingham
• Surrounding cities offer wide range of activities ranging from cultural attractions to great shopping facilities and busy nightlife
• Area is popular among placement students and there is a possibility to socialize and create a network of international friends
• The candidate can choose to live in Leamington Spa, which is a lively centre offering good social, leisure and cultural amenities and good links to London and other major UK cities.

Remuneration details:

• Allowance of £600 a month will be provided to cover accomodation and subsitence. Return train fares from Leamington Spa to Lapworth station will be paid for.

This remuneration package is not negotiable under ANY circumstances.
