Sales & Marketing Administrator

This interesting placement opportunity will appeal to a Business or Marketing student who wants broad-based Sales & Marketing experience. The position is in the European Sales office of this major international Group. Working alongside a small team of 2/3 people and reporting to the Regional Director, tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Processing purchase Orders
• Liaising with production plants in Pakistan and India and with European Customers in UK, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany etc.
• Updating and collating sales information.
• Some accounts work
• Researching market trends, new customers and products
• General sales and marketing duties as required.
• May involve some travel.
• Hours of work 9am – 5.30pm, Mon – Fri.

Essential requirements:

• Fluent English, both written & spoken
• Studying for a degree in Business Studies or similar
• Computer literate
• Good accuracy / maths and attention to detail essential
• Confident telephone manner - speaking English to customers and suppliers
• Able to work independently as required

Desirable attributes:

• Any language skills will be an advantage
• Experience in a similar role or environment will help though not essential.

Company activity:

• The Company is the marketing arm for the International Group whose vision is to be a specialist and major supplier to the Corporatewear and Industrial Safety Market.
• They are specialising in the manufacture of clothing, gloves and safety shoes.
• The Group has manufacturing plants in Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka and sales offices in UK, Canada, USA, Australia, and Dubai.
• Group turnover is in excess of $110 m.
• The UK office is responsible for the sales and marketing of the Group’s clothing sector into the UK and Western Europe. The office has a brief to double sales in the next five years.

Location:

• Based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, a historic market town with much history on the banks of the river Severn. It has been described as one of the most spectacular inland town settings in England
• Good leisure activities eg; shops, pubs, restaurants etc.
• 30 mins drive to Wolverhampton station with links to all UK cities. London 2hr 30 mins. Birmingham Airport I hr.

Remuneration details:

• Allowance of £600 a month will be provided to assist with accommodation and subsistence costs.

This remuneration package is not negotiable under ANY circumstances.
