Position Accountabilities
1. To assist the Event Manager/ Director in establishing correct systems and processes from the
outset to ensure timely, error free event management
2. To support the Event Manager/ Director in maintaining accurate files, budgets & critical paths in
order to adhere to deadlines and budgets especially attrition and cancellation deadlines as per
signed contracts
3. To respond to all client enquiries professionally and within the agreed timeframes and to
ensure client satisfaction with the response
4. To ensure all delegate data is accurately processed including travel and accommodation and
monies held on file before payments are made
5. To work to minimise costs to the file by using the most efficient methods of communication and
ensure all costs are accounted for on files
6. To ensure behaviour is, at all times professional and represents our standards and
values
7. To maintain effective and customer focused communication throughout with all stakeholders
8. To work as part of the Event team, take initiative where relevant and undertake additional tasks
as required

Routine Tasks
1. To ensure time sheets are completed for each job by the relevant deadline
2. To ensure all relevant delegate and supplier correspondence is documented and follow up
effected within the stated deadlines
3. Duty travel as required including site visits and on site event management
Skills (Qualifications, Competencies)
1. Exceptional attention to detail
2. Strong organisational skills – highly methodical, accurate and deadline driven
3. Excellent customer service focus
4. Effective written and verbal communication skills
5. Ability to deal effectively with all management levels and build effective client relationships
6. Computer literate in standard MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
7. Knowledge of and experience in using Events Pro or similar event management software and
airline reservation systems is desirable
8. Team player and adaptable
9. Ability to accept responsibility
10. Ability to resolve issues to the satisfaction of both client and company
Experience
1. Demonstrated effective customer service skills
2. Events Management Course or relevant industry experience preferred
3. MICE product experience in key regions preferred
Knowledge
1. A knowledge of all major suppliers and relevant MICE product / destinations
