Community Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for improving and managing the Company’s presence in online communities and on assigned fan sites for their games, whilst also managing the communication flow to the database of consumers directly. Working closely together with the European Brand Managers and PR Managers, the community manager will be feeding assets and information on a continuous basis via a variety of different media, such as widgets, email newsletters and website; building relationships with key influencers and building the Company’s communication infrastructures. Reporting to the European Marketing Director, tasks and responsibilities will include:

Community
Identifies websites and fan sites with active communities and posts
Builds relationship with key influencers and website managers
Regularly feeds them with the latest assets and news
Organizes ‘First Look Events’ for the key members and fans to look at the games
Reports on activities and results on a weekly basis
Advises Brand Managers and PR Managers of public opinion and possible adjustments to be made in the PR and Marketing campaigns.
CRM
Feeds consumers in the CRM database with newsletters, via widgets and possible other media.
Responsible for the copywriting, design (either developed internally or externally) and distribution of the information.
Works closely together with the European Marketing and PR team and the Online Manager, based in the US.
Manages the CRM database making sure details are correct, up to date and in line with the Data Protection Act.
Designs and implements a promotional plan to increase the consumer entries.

Essential requirements:

Excellent English
Good marketing, branding and PR skills
Familiar with CRM databases
Excellent written and verbal communications
Ability to communicate with a wide range of people and backgrounds
Team working ethic to liaise with other internal departments
Diligence for administrative tasks
Outgoing personality for promotional tasks

Desirable attributes:

Knowledge of and interest in the gaming industry would be advantageous
Previous experience in a similar role or environment

Founded in 1988, it has its Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. The company has operations primarily in North America, Europe, and Australia.

Location:

The City of London, a few minutes walk from Liverpool Street station and the Barbican. The office is within easy reach of the amenities of the City, as well as tourist attractions such as the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the Thames.
The area is home to a number of bars, pubs, cafés and restaurants.

Remuneration details:

Allowance of £800 per month will be provided to assist with accommodation and subsistence costs. Possibility of a full time role after a successful placement
